Meet our instructor

Regan Escobar

Regan Escobar brings over 35 years of experience in the equine industry, with a background that spans national-level competition, young horse development, and over two decades of professional instruction. Her experience includes competing on both local and national circuits, starting and training young horses, coaching IEA teams, conducting clinics, judging horse shows, and managing in-gates at competitions.

Regan grew up riding and training at Blue Fox Farm under Teri Bludworth in Houston, Texas, where she developed a strong foundation in the hunters, jumpers, and equitation divisions. She competed nationally across multiple states before being recruited to ride for the Texas A&M University Equestrian Team, where she competed at the Open level under two coaches.

In 2008, Regan founded her first program, Relentless Pursuit Farm, where she developed and coached over 100 riders across a ten-year span. In 2017, she returned to Texas A&M University to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, earning an Equine Science Certificate in 2019. Her academic background includes equine nutrition, business management, epidemiology, breeding, and genetics—bringing a well-rounded, science-based approach to her program.

Today, Regan is the owner and head trainer of Century Oak Equestrian, LLC, where she works with a growing community of dedicated riders. Her program focuses on developing confident, well-rounded horsemen and competitive riders, with students regularly competing at both local and rated shows.

Regan lives in Anderson, Texas with her husband, Michael, and their two sons, MJ and Matthew. Her oldest daughter, Alex, is a former student and competitor. Their home is shared with a lively group of animals, including three dogs, four cats, and a flock of laying hens. The family’s miniature horse, Bear—owned by MJ—has become a beloved part of the program and a favorite among students and visitors alike.

Regan and Michael

Regan and her husband, Michael, have been married since April 2023 and share a strong commitment to their faith, family, and community. They are active members of Grace Bible Church–Creekside, where they regularly attend weekly Bible studies and participate in church events.

Michael serves as a Land Development Manager at Ranier and Sons and takes pride in his craftsmanship, creating custom duck calls in his free time. Regan is also the owner of Regan Paige Photography, where she specializes in equine portraits, family sessions, and small wedding photography.

When they are not working or at the barn, Regan and Michael enjoy spending time outdoors—especially duck hunting together when the season allows. Both are graduates of Texas A&M University, where they earned their bachelor’s degrees along with certifications in their respective fields.

Alex, MJ, and Matthew

Alex (23) lives in Montgomery, Texas, where she works and enjoys baking, making jewelry, and visiting Anderson to spend time with her younger brothers.

MJ (5) is currently in kindergarten and is excited to begin first grade in Fall 2026. He loves his miniature horse, Bear, and can often be found riding or grooming him whenever he has the chance.

Matthew (2) attends preschool twice a week and enjoys swimming, playing with the family’s dogs and cats, and spending time with his older brother. He also loves grooming and riding Bear—when his big brother lets him.
