LESSON PRICING

At Century Oak Equestrian, our lesson program is structured as a monthly tuition-based membership designed to provide consistency, accountability, and long-term rider development.

Rather than booking individual lessons, students enroll in a program that reserves their weekly lesson time and supports steady progress in both horsemanship and riding.

Availability is limited to maintain a focused, high-quality experience for every rider.

Each tuition package includes two to three additional Apprentice Days they may choose to attend each month. On occasion, additional riding lessons may be given on those days but are not guaranteed. These days are structured around horsemanship.

Each rider is enrolled in a consistent weekly schedule. This allows for:

• Stronger horse-and-rider relationships 
• Faster skill development 
• A more organized and dependable experience for families 

Students without a horse may participate in up to two lessons per week.

Students who own a horse and board at our facility may participate in up to three lessons per week, with a recommended minimum of two to support consistent progress.

Riders interested in competing are expected to maintain regular weekly participation. All lessons are currently structured as group lessons.

One-Off / Drop-In Lessons (based on availability)

These are intended for occasional scheduling needs and are not a substitute for regular program enrollment.

Private lessons may be scheduled outside of our normal group times and each cost $85 if student is enrolled in our tuition program. If you are enrolled in our tuition program and your lesson turns out to be a private lesson due to no-shows or cancellations by other riders, you will still ride but not pay any additional fees.

Tuition is billed monthly and secures your rider’s place in the program.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, cash, and check. Payments are due on the 1st of each month for that month and late after the 3rd. A $50 late fee will be applied if paid after the 3rd.

Students must be properly dressed for lessons. Helmets, boots with a heel, and a shirt neatly tucked in is required for each lesson. If you forget your boots or helmet, you may borrow from Century Oak if we have items available that fit appropriately. If you are not able to ride because of lack of proper gear, no makeup lesson will be offered.

Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared to begin their scheduled lesson. Please allow time for catching horse, properly grooming, tacking, and mounting. Lessons will end at the originally scheduled time regardless of a student's arrival time, as extending one lesson affects the horses, instructor, and students scheduled afterwards. Students arriving more than 15 minutes late may be unable to participate in mounted instruction and may receive abbreviated or unmounted instruction at the instructor's discretion. Late arrival does not qualify for additional riding time, a makeup lesson, credit, refund, or tuition adjustment. Repeated tardiness may result in the loss of the student's reserved lesson time.

If a student no-shows two times, they will be removed from their scheduled lesson time.

Due to the limited nature of our program, missed lessons are not guaranteed to be made up. However, we do our best to accommodate scheduling conflicts when possible. You must give at least 24 hours notice of cancelation to receive a make-up. Make-ups are offered twice per month on our Apprentice Days (weather permitting) or you may join a group lesson during the week if there is availability (including available horse if using a lesson horse). Each student receives one courtesy late-cancellation makeup per semester for an unexpected illness, provided Century Oak is notified before the scheduled lesson begins.

Lessons are scheduled as part of a comprehensive equestrian education program and tuition reserves each student's recurring lesson time. When weather or area conditions make mounted instruction unsafe or inappropriate, the scheduled lesson will transition to an unmounted horsemanship lesson covering subjects such as horse care, first-aid, handling, safety, tack, anatomy, nutrition, stable management, and other skills essential to becoming a knowledgeable, capable equestrian. These lessons are a required and valuable part of the curriculum and are considered fulfilled lessons, therefore, choosing not to attend an offered horsemanship lesson does not qualify for a makeup, credit, refund, or tuition adjustment. Makeup lessons are offered only when Century Oak cancels a lesson entirely without providing an alternative instructional session. All decisions regarding weather, riding conditions, lesson format, and cancellations are made solely by Century Oak with the safety of riders and horses as the priority.

We begin all new students with a private introductory lesson to evaluate skill level, discuss goals, and determine the best placement within our program.

From there, riders are enrolled into a consistent weekly schedule based on availability.
